Mission Statement
-
To
develop and execute education and training programs for medical
students and postdoctoral students in the subspecialty discipline
of Hematology to include hematopoiesis, blood coagulation,
hematologic malignancies, and bone marrow transplantation.

- To conduct
basic and clinical research relevant to the discipline of
Hematology and to publish the results of that research in the
scientific literature.
|
|
- To
provide state-of-the-art health care to patients with hematologic
disorders including red blood cell and white blood cell diseases,
abnormalities of coagulation, and hematologic malignancies.
|
|
- To
participate in both continuing medical education for health care
professionals and also raising public awareness of blood disorders
|
- To
provide consultation locally, regionally, nationally, and
internationally on scientific, clinical, and health education and
policy issues pertinent to the discipline of Hematology.
